To note, these shots were all taken this past May. I am not in Colombia, as many have asked, but I will be back to explore Colombia’s Caribbean coast for the winter holidays. For now, there is still much to see from PASTO!

Laguna de la Cocha Santuario de flora y fauna (Cocha Lagoon, Wildlife Sanctuary): These university students were remarkably friendly to one lone traveler and opened up their group to me. They came on a bus, we exchanged emails and now my inbox is flooded with jokes in Spanish and massive forwards.

The road from la Cocha was long and windy. Our taxi of sorts was a crowded little truck with a wizened woman and her daughter fighting off motion sickness as the Andes whizzed past

Back at Mario’s home, looking out from the window, Pasto’s Volcano erupted while I was there.
